That of One hundred years of solitude by Gabriel García Màrquez, a masterpiece released in 1967is undoubtedly among the most dazzling incipits in the history of literature; its serial adaptation, the first ever made, could only start from here, immersing the viewer in the atmospheres and characters that marked the success of the novel.

Netflix has achieved an ambitious operation: transposing a complex work into seriality, the saga of seven generations of a family – the Buendías – in the imaginary village of Macondo.
