Quarterfinals! Gabriel Clemens impresses at the World Cup dress rehearsal

The German darts professional Gabriel Clemens reached the quarter-finals of the Players Championship Finals with an impressive performance and is showing improving form before the World Cup.

In Minehead, England, the favored Clemens clearly defeated the Dutchman Niels Zonneveld 10-1 in the round of 16. He had previously defeated fifth-seeded Englishman Josh Rock 6-3 in the third round.

Waiting for the Saarlander in the quarter-finals on Sunday (3:00 p.m.) is number 20 seeded Englishman Luke Woodhouse, who has already eliminated Dave Chisnall and former world champion Rob Cross during the tournament.

Clemens is the last remaining German at the tournament, which is considered a dress rehearsal for the upcoming World Cup in London (December 15th to January 3rd). Ricardo Pietreczko failed in round two, Martin Schindler and Daniel Klose in round one.
