After the renewed fan riots, third division FC Hansa Rostock takes consequences and limits the sale of away tickets. “It just pisses me or us that we are employed almost weekly with topics such as destroyed toilet facilities or other inventory,” said Hansa’s chairman of the supervisory board Sebastian Eggert in a club announcement.

During the lost away game with Alemannia Aachen (1-2) last Sunday, Hansa supporters tore out seat shells and sometimes thrown them into the interior, and sanitary facilities were also massively demolished. The police filed a criminal complaint for property damage and initiated an investigation. Hansa has to expect a punishment again by the German Football Association.

“There is no doubt that it has to be over here and now. It will not only be important how the official committees of the association tackle this problem, but above all how the fan scene reacts to it and put an end to this crap,” emphasized Eggert, club member and long-time Ultra singer. There were also riots in the home game against Dynamo Dresden and away at Waldhof Mannheim.

In an emergency, Hansa returns away tickets

From now on, only club members may acquire tickets for the upcoming away games, the following applies: only one card per member. The same applies to orders of fan clubs, and here too only club members receive a card.

In addition, the club management reserves further cuts. The association will decide after each away game “whether the fan behavior justifies the continuation of away games on these conditions or the measures are expanded,” it said in the message. This can also mean that you do not return cards or return the next away quota.

According to the media, a damage of around 50,000 euros had occurred in Aachen, and the club wants to get the cost of repair work back from the Rostockers. According to the notification of the rioters, Hansa wants to forward the costs caused to them. If it is club members, they will be excluded according to Hansa leadership.
