President Vladimir Putin, in his congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day, announced that a weapon “which has no equal in the world” has been put on combat duty.

“We will continue to develop promising weapons systems, including hypersonic and based on new physical principles, expand the use of advanced digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence,” the head of state said. He called such complexes “weapons of the future”, which at times increases the potential of the armed forces.

According to him, regular military exercises prove the high level of training and coherence of the Russian troops. The President promised to continue to improve the army and navy, to equip them “with the latest technology.”

“We see how difficult the international situation is, what dangers the existing challenges pose,” the head of state said. Among such dangers, he called “the loosening of the arms control system” and the military activity of NATO.

Putin called ensuring the defense capability of Russia the most important state task, and the armed forces – a reliable guarantee of national security, peaceful life of citizens and “stable, progressive development” of the country.
