The sports goods manufacturer Puma from Herzogenaurach has presented the vegan soccer shoe Puma King.
The model has a 50-year history, which has now been developed a step further. A version made entirely from animal-free materials, Puma announced on Friday. A vegan leather alternative and vegan knitting yarn are used for this.
“The King Platinum 21 Vegan is an exciting milestone for Puma as we use vegan materials and offer an animal-based alternative to leather products", said Florian Nemetz, Senior Product Line Manager Teamsport Footwear. “We will continue to use vegan materials in our products in the future as we want to offer an alternative to traditional leather products.”
Puma competitor Adidas already launched a vegan soccer boot in October, created in collaboration with British designer Stella McCartney and professional soccer player Paul Pogba.
