The sporting goods supplier Puma is starting the development of a mobile, global e-commerce app in cooperation with the US IT service provider Branch. Branch is an omnichannel mobile connectivity and mobile measurement platform that already works with over 500 international brands including Adobe, Strava, BuzzFeed, Yelp and many more.

“The launch of a mobile app is a big initiative for the company and a request from our customers,” said Jason Isenberg, Global Head of Digital Consumer Experiences at Puma Finding a technology partner that will ensure a seamless transition between platforms and help us identify and grow our user base. Branch is that partner and we are very pleased with the results so far.” The cooperation will initially focus on the three key areas of web-to-app, email and social media.

Puma rolls out the app market by market, starting with India. It was launched there in early June. Puma follows its competitors Adidas and Nike, who already operate their own shopping apps. In Germany there was only one workout app from Puma, “Pumatrac Run, Train, Fitness”.
