Wes Scantlin, front man and guitarist of Puddle of Mudd, was arrested on March 11, 2025 due to suspected domestic violence and drug possession. He again puts a point on his list of legal conflicts.
The dispute escalated
The whole thing is said to have occurred at three o’clock, as “TMZ” recently reported. An emergency call had therefore been received by the authorities, whereupon civil servants drove to Scantlin’s apartment near Los Angeles. There was probably an initially verbal argument between Scantlin and his girlfriend, who later became palpable. In addition, illegal substances are said to have been found in a subsequent apartment search. “TMZ” reported that according to sources, traces of a discussion on the woman’s body should have been visible. Wes Scantlin was then arrested and is now in custody. The allegations against him are serious domestic violence and possession of a forbidden substance and the deposit should be $ 90,000.
Not the first incident of this kind
The current allegations towards the musician are lined up with many more that occurred in recent years.
In the summer of 2024, a traffic control escalated with him, so that the police started pepper spray and pepperball bullets. A few years earlier, in 2017, he was arrested at Lax Airport when he tried to get on board an aircraft with a BB rifle. The American was also in the headlines in 2016 when he was arrested for trespassing and vandalism. He had tried to break into a house that he bought in 2005, but lost in 2015 due to foreclosure.
Puddle of Mudd was founded in 1991 and, especially in the early 2000s, were able to celebrate great chart successes with songs such as “Blurry”, “Drift & Die” and “Shees Me”. Since then, however, they have increasingly ended up in the headlines for playback allegations and scantlins of public escapades.
