Public welcome again on Christmas trams

Public welcome again on Christmas trams

Especially for the Christmas period, the three heritage associations of the Coast, Ghent and Antwerp decorate several beautiful museum trams with thousands of Christmas lights. The volunteers of the three associations spend several days neatly hanging up all the garlands and lighting and drape them festively. Everything is done with the utmost caution, because the precious heritage trams must of course not be damaged. The electricity for all those lights is supplied by batteries and/or the on-board network of the trams themselves. After the end of the year, everything is carefully and meticulously removed – a job that once again takes quite a few hours.

Incidentally, the Coast is the only location where not one, but no fewer than two Christmas trams provide an unforgettable fairytale Christmas atmosphere.
