The facts took place in an apartment building in the center of Ostend. The emergency services arrived at the scene in the direction of Toekomststraat in the course of the early morning. It is therefore not clear what exactly happened. What is certain is that it concerns a shooting in which, according to our information, one person was injured – a man. His exact condition is still unclear, but he would have been approachable.
The police set up a perimeter from 7 a.m. and the lab came to the scene for a trace investigation. The area was not released until around 11 a.m. The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the case, but will not comment further in the interest of the investigation.
