A university baron dies by jogging. The dolphin, The clumsy Marcelo is the heir designated to the chair of philosophy of the prestigious University of Buenos Aires.
But an ex -pupil, more charismatic and moreover engaged to an in vogue actress, presents his candidacy.

Through the academic challenge, and in a comedy tone, The authors manage to outline a portrait of the pre-milile Agentinaa place where officials are rarely paid, yet they fight to keep the classrooms open (and organize philosophical tours in the suburbs) and where a man without great qualities, such as Marcelo, is willing to undergo even some humiliation (to be a clown at the birthday party of an elderly student) without losing dignity.
We leave the cinema convinced that nothing is lost as long as there are individuals of good will. And that the resistance can also be made in the name of Rousseau and Spinoza.
