Peter Bosz has celebrated the third national title he won with PSV on his own. This is what the trainer of the Eindhoven team tells ESPN. On Saturday the coach already indicated that he would celebrate Easter Sunday with his grandchildren and therefore not with the selection.
“There were a few players and staff members at De Herdgang and everyone else watched it in their own environment. There was joy in me, yes, but I think crazy joy is exaggerated when you are alone,” said Bosz.
The current selection broke PSV’s record from 1978. “The earliest champion ever, that is also a kind of legacy. 1978 was a long time ago. I hope we can keep it up for just as long.”
PSV also seemed to be on its way to a points record for a long time, but lost to both NEC and Telstar last month. It doesn’t detract much from the joy for Bosz.
“For me it is not only important to become champion, but also the way in which it is done. It is impossible to win 34 matches, I think. Once again this year we showed very good football in the majority of the matches. We entertained the people,” said Bosz.
