PSV Eindhoven has signed Esmir Bajraktarević, one of the biggest talents in Major League Soccer. The 19-year-old winger comes from New England Revolution. The overall package amounts to 6 million euros, with 3 million euros each reportedly due as a fixed transfer fee and bonuses. There is also a resale share of 20 percent; the contract in Eindhoven is valid until 2029.

Bajraktarević became the third-youngest player in New England history at the age of 17 years, two months and 16 days when he made his debut in a 1-0 loss to New York City FC in 2022. Since then, the six-time Bosnian international has scored five goals and four assists in 57 games and has steadily increased his market value to 3.5 million euros.

“We have been following Esmir since January last year,” PSV technical director Earnie Stewart said of the winger. “He is a left-footed player who we brought in for the right wing. He handles the ball very well, can cross well, is strong in one-on-one situations and can also be a goal threat himself. Esmir is a player who can really surprise people with his actions.”
