Paris Saint-Germain and Flamengo faced each other in the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup final.

In the 62nd minute of the match, Jorginho equalized the score for the Brazilian team with the goal he scored from the penalty.
When the equality remained intact in the remaining part of the normal time, extra time was started. When there was no goal at the end of 120 minutes, the penalty shootout started.
As a result of the series of penalty shoot-outs, PSG won the cup by gaining a 2-1 advantage over its opponent.
