PSG beat Marseille and have the title in their sights

Leaders Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead on matchday 32 of French Ligue 1.

PSG won the top game against second-placed Olympique Marseille 2-1 (2-1) and are now 15 points ahead. This means that the ambitious club, which was eliminated early in the Champions League, is at least immediately before the next championship title with six games to go. Marseille had previously celebrated eight competitive wins in a row.

Brazil soccer star Neymar put the hosts ahead in the 12th minute. After a cross from Marco Verratti’s half field, the 30-year-old put the ball into the goal with an artistic direct acceptance while falling. Olympique keeper Pau Lopez rushed out and was defeated by Neymar with a lob. Duje Caleta-Car equalized for the guests in the 31st minute.

After that, the Parisians pressed and had several chances. But among other things, a goal by Lionel Messi was disallowed for offside. In injury time in the first half, Kylian Mbappé was successful with a hand penalty, it was his 21st goal of the season. Mbappé also scored again (76′), but was also offside. On the other hand, the supposed equalizer by William Saliba (85th) did not count because of a narrow offside position.
