Protesters make Till Lindemann “Till disappear man”

“No stage for perpetrators”, “Show responsibility”, “No silence”, “Full solidarity with those affected” and “Abuse of power, sexualized violence and you still organize” – these were just some of the slogans that were broadcast on Saturday (June 17) in the were read on banners during a protest in Bern.

The reason for the demonstration was, of course, the two controversial Rammstein concerts on June 17th and 18th in the Wankdorf Stadium. As part of the allegations of abuse against singer Till Lindemann, according to “tagesanzeiger.ch“ at 4:30 p.m. around 100 people to protest against the concert. There were no escalations, the reaction of the Rammstein fans to the demo is said to have ranged from provocatively showing the middle finger to understanding the protest. An older gentleman in a Rammstein shirt is quoted as saying “It’s good that they stand up for their values”.

“Go away man”

The demonstrators made the slogan “Till disappear man” from Till Lindemann’s name. In the run-up, several organizations, including Juso Switzerland, the SP women and some feminist organizations, had asked the local organizer Gadget abc to cancel the two concerts. A petition on this cause brought it to 7500 signatures.

Rammstein have been the focus of public criticism for days after reports that the Berlin band allegedly devised their own system for attracting young women to sex at after-show parties after concerts, now known as “Row Zero”.

Some of the women (anonymously) also accused them of sexual abuse or abusive behavior. In a statement, Rammstein asked to refrain from prejudice. Singer Lindemann, meanwhile, rejected all allegations about his lawyers as untrue without exception. The public prosecutor’s office is now investigating the Rammstein singer. Drummer Christoph Schneider distances himself from his bandmates.
