Today the Flemish parliamentarians of the Immovable Heritage Committee, led by chairman Sander Loones from Koksijde, will visit the hotel and the Royal Galleries. They receive a tour and an explanation about the future plans. Activists await the delegation with slogans and fake money. According to them, the entire restoration file, with a renovated five-star private hotel, will cost the taxpayer almost 78 million euros. They believe that the tenant of Thermae Palace, which is Restotel from the Vanmoerkerke family, is given far too many benefits and control.
