Protest against asylum policy in the Netherlands gets out of hand: “If I had known this, I would never have organized demonstration”

A demonstration against the Dutch asylum policy in The Hague has ended in massive riots and confrontations with the police. A police car went up in flames and the order services have used tear gas. The campaigners put on through the city and start destruction. Windows were thrown in at the D66 party office. Around 4.30 pm the peace returned to the city. “If I had known this in advance, I would never have organized this,” says the organizer of the demonstration.
