Twelve activists took part in the action. According to FOCUS, they entered through an open entrance after refusing an invitation from ZDF for a meeting.
The demonstrators used helium balloons to raise a loudspeaker to the ceiling of the studio in the German capital. The screams of children could be heard from that loudspeaker.

In addition, the demonstrators handed out flyers with the text Gaza is your fault too! Furthermore, according to FOCUS, it says: “The broadcasting rights pay your salaries, but they do not serve the people, but only the interests of the ruling class.”

It further states: “Instead of holding German politicians to account for their complicity in the Israeli genocide, state media are trying to create consensus for war crimes through lies, incitement and censorship.”
After a few minutes, the activists were escorted out of the building by police. The protesters are being investigated for trespassing.
