Princess Margarita about contact with ex-husband: ‘Everything is very calm’ | show

Princess Margarita and her ex-husband Tjalling ten Cate have been doing ‘very well’ since the two broke up. “Actually, everything is very quiet,” Princess Irene’s daughter said in front of the camera on Tuesday evening RTL Boulevard.

The two announced at the end of February that they have separated after sixteen years. “We still have very good contact, even on a daily basis,” says the princess. “It is now about the happiness of the children and that everything goes smoothly, that is what it is about.”

Princess Margarita and Tjalling ten Cate announced the news of their divorce themselves in a press release. Earlier, the eldest daughter of Princess Irene was already married to Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn. That much-discussed marriage ended in 2006.

“Some time ago we decided together and in friendship to separate,” Princess Margarita and Tjalling ten Cate report in their statement. ‘After a wonderful time of more than sixteen years together, in which we shared joys and sorrows, each of us will now go our own way. At the same time, we will always walk a path together as friends and loving parents to our two beautiful daughters.”
