Prime Minister Schoof will be present at the Benelux Top on Wednesday 10 September 2025. Due to the Luxembourg Presidency of the Benelux Committee of Ministers, the top this year will take place in Château de Bourglinster in Luxembourg. This annual top is all about the political and regional cooperation between the Benelux, North Rhine-Westphalia and Hauts-De-France.
The summit starts with a conversation between Prime Minister Schoof, Prime Minister De Wever of Belgium and Prime Minister Frieden of Luxembourg. Among other things, they will talk about current geopolitical and European topics, including the war in Ukraine and Defense and Security. Below Prime Minister Wüst of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and vice-president Decoster of the Hauts-de-France regional council connect for a work session. This consultation is followed by work sessions that also connect the Municipal Executive General of the Benelux Union and a delegation of the Benelux Parliament.
The joint Benelux statement is signed during the top. An informal dinner takes place at the end.
