Prime Minister Rutte will visit Israel and the Palestinian territories on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 October 2022. The visit is dedicated to maintaining close ties with both Israel and the Palestinian Authority and the importance the government attaches to the Middle East Peace Process.

The visit will start on Monday afternoon 24 October with a lunch with CEOs of Israeli companies in the Netherlands and Dutch companies in Israel. In the afternoon, Prime Minister Rutte will hold a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Lapid, followed by a bilateral meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Gantz. This is followed by a visit to Dutch Holocaust survivors in the Beit Mozes nursing home in Jerusalem. In the evening, Prime Minister Rutte has a meeting with Palestinian President Abbas.

The visit will start on Tuesday morning, October 25, with a breakfast session on the situation in the Palestinian territories with two Palestinians committed to a peaceful solution to the conflict. This is followed by a visit to Orange Corners in Ramallah, a Dutch initiative to stimulate young entrepreneurship and thereby increase the employment opportunities for young people. Prime Minister Rutte will then speak with Israeli opposition leader Netanyahu.
