On Wednesday 23 February 2022, Prime Minister Rutte will receive NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the Ministry of General Affairs for a meeting and delegation meeting. Discussions will include NATO modernization and the situation at the border between Russia and Ukraine.
Following the program at the Ministry of General Affairs, Prime Minister Rutte and Secretary-General Stoltenberg will participate in a seminar organized by the Netherlands and Germany on the importance of strategic partnerships for NATO in the World Forum in The Hague. The Prime Minister and the Secretary-General will both give a speech, after which they will talk to the public. The conference in The Hague is part of a series of four seminars organized by allies at NATO’s request with the aim of contributing to the renewed Strategic Concept to be adopted at NATO’s June meeting in Madrid.
