Prime Minister Rutte will receive Prime Minister Frieden of Luxembourg and Prime Minister De Croo of Belgium for the Benelux Summit on Wednesday, November 29. Prime Minister Wüst from the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia will also join the meeting later.

Prime Minister Rutte, Prime Minister Frieden and Prime Minister De Croo will meet before the start of the summit for an informal discussion at the Port of Rotterdam Authority. The Benelux Summit will subsequently be held in the Wereldmuseum in Rotterdam. It is the 10th time that the summit has been held, this time under the chairmanship of the Netherlands.

In the Wereldmuseum, Prime Minister Rutte, Prime Minister Frieden and Prime Minister De Croo will speak about political and regional cooperation between the Benelux countries. After this the Prime Minister closes Wüst from North Rhine-Westphalia for a working session where current geopolitical topics, migration, climate and the European Union will be discussed. This will be followed by a working session with the four Prime Ministers and the College of Secretaries General of the Benelux Union on cross-border cooperation in areas such as security and justice, water management and energy.

During the summit, the joint Benelux declaration will be signed, looking back on the results achieved and looking ahead to the collaboration in 2024. The summit will conclude with an informal dinner.
