Primavera, Roma beat Juventus and stretch the lead

After the five goals scored by Fiorentina in the Italian Cup, the 3-0 against the bianconeri comes with a brace from Frenchman Louakima

Just four days ago, Roma Primavera had conceded five goals from Fiorentina in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia. Yesterday, however, the victorious Inter in Pescara had come within three points of first place. Alberto De Rossi’s team gave the answer on the pitch by beating Juventus 3-0, who in less than two weeks will be involved in the Youth League semifinal in Nyon against the winner of the derby between Sporting and Benfica scheduled for Wednesday. Speaking of derby, it was for Andrea Bonatti, who led the Lazio Primavera before leaving for Turin: he lost it under the blows of a Roma that once again stretched on his pursuers.

Double Louakima

The Giallorossi, in addition to the five in Florence, also had to make up for the 0-3 in Bologna in the last round of the championship. To do this, they relied on an unprecedented protagonist, the French Corentin Louakima, a winger who arrived from PSG in September 2020. After a first half finished 0-0 with the Roma goalkeeper Mastrantonio protagonist on Muharemovic, it was the 2003 class who signed the brace that unlocked the game. All in six minutes: the first goal was beautiful, a right plate to cross on an assist from Tahirovic, while the doubling came from the left after a great descent to the left by Cherubini. Under the eyes of many players of the first team waiting for the 6pm match against Salernitana (it was played in Trigoria and not at the Tre Fontane because of Formula E) it was Cherubini at the head who overtook Senko for the third time. Roma, seven days from the end of the regular season, returned to +6; for Juventus, on the other hand, it is the second defeat in a row after the one in recovery against Verona.
