Jerdy Schouten (former Telstar) played with the Italian opponent. Mitchell Dijks (Purmerend) and Denso Kasius were not present in Alkmaar. AZ showed themselves against Bologna from the first whistle, especially talents got the chance. One of them was Yusuf Barasi and he was several times dangerous for the Alkmaarders. He immediately received a cross from Mayckel Lahdo. Barasi’s shot was then diverted.

Moments later, the striker was able to strike from the edge of sixteen. Within the first ten minutes, Aslak Fonn Witry and Fedde Jong had opportunities. After several missed opportunities for Barasi, Zico Buurmeester broke the spell just before half time. The midfielder tapped the ball in after a hard cross from Myron van Brederode.

In the second half, Barasi had another opportunity, but again Łukasz Skorupski was a spoilsport. Just before time, substitute Vangelis Pavlidis seemed to score the second goal. His shot was turned at the last minute. With the win, AZ therefore closes the preparation with a positive feeling.
