The US shoe retailer Skechers USA Inc. has launched a new store concept.
On Tuesday, the company announced the opening of its world’s first “Skechers Performance” flagship store in the Canadian metropolis of Edmonton. With an area of almost 700 square meters, it is the brand’s largest concept store to date.
At West Edmonton Mall, the second-largest shopping center in North America, Skechers now offers shoes for sports such as basketball, golf, soccer and pickleball, as well as hiking and running shoes.
Many models can be tried out directly on site: elements of the new performance concept include small playing fields for pickleball and basketball.
