A shock was needed, after a couple of bitter defeats in the final. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia responded in the best way: just when their throne in the Premier Padel circuit seemed to be wavering, a convincing success arrived in the P1 of Dubai. In the women’s draw, a good success for the Spanish Claudia Fernandez and Bea Gonzalez, who emerged victorious from the clashes with the first two seeds in the seeding.

And there are 11, for Coello and Tapia. Eleven tournaments won in a brilliant 2025, on par with what this “pareja” has managed to do for over two years, i.e. since it was formed. The third consecutive victory for Federico Chingotto and Ale Galan in direct matches with their rivals fades away, after the “cops” in Milan and in the World Cup in Kuwait: this time Coello-Tapia left no room for comebacks, closing the second set 6-4 after having taken the first with a score of 6-3. Arturo and Agus, already holders of this tournament, have thus shored up their leadership in the FIP ranking and in the Race, when the calendar now only offers the Mexican Major, the FIP Platinum in Veracruz and the Finals in Barcelona before the end of the year.

If in the men’s field the favorites prevailed, among the women it was the number 3 seeds who prevailed. When Bea Gonzalez doesn’t have physical problems, together with Claudia Fernandez she forms a young and explosive couple, capable of overcoming even the strongest opponents. In the semi-final, Claudia and Bea got rid of Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, while in the final they gave no chance to the number one Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea, overcome 6-1 7-5.
