Just six months after moving to Villarreal FC, Ben Brereton Díaz is returning to England. The 24-year-old Chilean international is joining Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season. After seven seasons in the second-tier Championship, the Stoke-on-Trent-born attacker is now active in the Premier League for the first time.

Brereton Díaz moved from Blackburn Rovers to Europa League participants Villarreal on a free transfer last summer, but was unable to assert himself there. In 20 mostly short appearances, the striker failed to score a goal. For Blackburn there were a total of 36 goals in the previous two seasons.
