Premier League, results: Brighton-Tottenham 0-2 and Arsenal-Liverpool

Tottenham approaches the Europe-zone. The Spurs get three points at Brighton, in the recovery of the challenge valid for the sixteenth round of the Premier. Already ahead in the first half thanks to Cristian Romero – who scored by deflecting a Kulusevski shot -, Conte’s team closes the match on a score of 0-2 (Kane also scored) and rose to 48 points in the standings: 2 less of United, currently fifth but with one more match, -3 from Arsenal, in turn engaged tonight against Liverpool.

After the defeat against United, dragged by Cristiano Ronaldo last weekend, the Londoners conquer a fundamental success on an unusual Wednesday of the championship. On the pitch with Kulusevski and Bentancur as owners, Tottenham wasted three chances with Harry Kane in the first quarter of an hour. After a timid attempt by the hosts with MacAllister, in the 37th minute Romero found… indeed, he deflected the goal of the advantage. Having ventured into the opponent’s half of the pitch after kicking off the action, the former Atalanta defender is on the trajectory of Kulusevski’s shot, who in turn grew up in the Nerazzurri youth sector: the ball changes direction and ends up in the low corner. At the end of the first half and shortly after the start of the second half, Robert Sanchez denies doubling twice to the Swedish ex Juve. Brighton tries to respond with Maupay, the Spurs are however lethal on the counterattack and, in the 57th minute, Bentancur launches Kane centrally. The Englishman enters the area and, with his left, pierces the number 1 of the Seagulls, closing the game. Nothing to do, however, for Reguillon, who before the triple whistle wastes two chances of stamping the card.
