Burnley (AP) – Ralf Rangnick suffered another setback with Manchester United. Four days after the cup embarrassment against second division FC Middlesbrough, the German football coach and his team in the Premier League only drew 1-1 (1-0) at bottom FC Burnley.
Manchester slipped to fifth place in the table. Paul Pogba (18th) had given Rangnick’s team the lead, but Jay Rodriguez (47th) equalized after an assist from Wout Weghorst, who only came from Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg at the end of January.
West Ham United had previously won 1-0 (0-0) against Watford FC and moved past Manchester in fourth place in the table. Relegation candidates Newcastle United defeated Everton 3-1 (1-1) and climbed to 17th place.
