Premier League | Heung-Min Son stands out: Tottenham Hotspur are front runners again

Tottenham Hotspur is back at the top of the English Premier League table. Team manager Ange Postecoglou’s team defeated FC Fulham 2-0 (1-0) in their own stadium and remained unbeaten in the ninth game.

At Tottenham, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg replaced Yves Bissouma, who was suspended for a yellow-red card.

The hosts put pressure on right from the start and deservedly took the lead through captain Heung-Min Son (36th), who beat German goalkeeper Bernd Leno with a well-placed shot from 16 meters.

James Maddison scored the decisive 2-0 (54th) after an assist from Son. After that, the victory over the London city rivals was no longer in danger.

Tottenham can extend their lead at Crystal Palace on Friday (9 p.m.).
