Premier League | Havertz scores in Arsenal’s last-minute win

Arsenal FC extended their lead in the English Premier League with a last-minute win.

After a wild game on Tuesday evening, the Gunners won 4:3 (2:1) at cheeky newcomers Luton Town thanks to a goal from national player Kai Havertz. Declan Rice (90+7) scored the winning goal late with a header.

Arsenal had previously had an open exchange of blows with the league newcomer. Gabriel Martinelli (20th) and Gabriel Jesus (45th) gave the guests the lead twice at Kenilworth Road. Gabriel Osho (25th) and Elijah Adebayo (49th) each countered before Ross Barkley (57th) even scored to give Luton the lead.

Havertz (60th) equalized with his second league goal this season.

Arsenal advanced with their fourth league win in a row and increased their lead over their pursuers to five points. Liverpool FC with team manager Jürgen Klopp can get closer again with a win at Sheffield United on Wednesday (8.30 p.m.).

Manchester City could also reduce the gap to three points with a win at Aston Villa (9:15 p.m.).
