Prada timecapsule collection focuses on NTFs, denim and 70s

Prada’s sixth timecapsule NFT collection once again fuses the physical and the digital with a 70’s allure.

Inspired by a Prada patchwork shirt from the ’70s, the limited-edition shirts from the Timecapsule collection are made from recycled denim from the brand’s archives. When purchasing a shirt, customers will receive a Timecapsule NFT that grants them access to the Prada Crypted community, the Italian brand said on Thursday.

The words “November” and “Upcycling” as well as the classic Prada triangle logo adorn the denim shirt, which is limited to fifty pieces. The number of pieces is also noted on the shirt as a design element.

Exclusive invites for the Prada Crypted community

As part of this exclusive group, NFT owners have the chance to register for two upcoming Prada events: “Prada Mode” in Dubai and “Prada Extends” in Miami. Prada Mode is a “traveling social club” with a focus on contemporary culture and art. The eighth edition of the event in November now brings an installation by British artist Damien Hirst to Dubai. Prada Extends, meanwhile, takes place during Art Basel in Miami and “brings like-minded people together by expressing the identity of the place and its creative community.”

The Prada Timecapsule Process

The Prada timecapsule line was launched in 2019 and since then has always launched a limited-edition item on the first Thursday of the month that is available for 24 hours. The first timecapsule followed this summer in combination with an NFT, which is linked to the physical product by a serial number.
