The man took some of his mail to be delivered home and left it there. A PostNL spokesperson told Omroep Brabant that the collection is so polluted and damaged that it can no longer be delivered to the rightful owners.
The case came to light due to the man’s failure to show up for work. A colleague also failed to contact him and called the police. Officers then found the man at home among piles of unopened mail. Because he always took small amounts of mail home, it was not discovered before that the man did not deliver the mail. A spokesperson for Post NL tells Omroep Brabant that together there are thousands of pieces.
Professional help has been called in for the postman, he has been put on hold.
