A former administrative advisor of hairstylist John Beerens from Tilburg would have to go to jail for twenty months. The public prosecutor at the court in Breda demanded this on Thursday morning.
In an earlier procedure, he was already obliged to repay webshop entrepreneur Beerens at least 810,000 euros. His ex-controller is said to have pushed this money back for two years.
‘No more financial position’
According to the Public Prosecution Service (OM), the man must also receive a suspended sentence of ten months, with a probationary period of two years. The Public Prosecution Service also believes that the man is no longer allowed to fulfill financial functions, both paid and unpaid.
The former employee was responsible for a large part of the (financial) administration within the JohnBeerens.com company. He managed to transfer the amounts to bank accounts in his name and that of his then partner.
Beerens has long been a well-known face in the hairdressing and showbiz world. The beauty specialist won several prizes and he participated in several television programs, such as Holland’s Next Top Model and Steenrijk, Straatarm.
