Post Malone and Swae Lee make history with double diamond

“Sunflower” is the most successful single of all time.

Post Malone and Swae Lee were awarded double diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for the single “Sunflower”. No artist has been able to bring a single to this level so far.

The song was released in 2018 and is featured on the Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse soundtrack. The producers were Carter Lang and Louis Bell. At the time of release, Malone and Lee had already broken an RIAA record and received 17 platinum records.

Association CEO Mitch Glazier commented on this new record on Instagram and wrote: “Post Malone and Swae Lee have now raised the bar for creative collaborations and exciting collaborations.” The RIAA introduced its awards in 1958.

Sold over 50 million times worldwide

In America you get a diamond award with 10 million record sales. Post Malone and Swae Lee have now even achieved double the number of sales. With more than 20 million units of their song sold, they are the first artists to receive a double diamond and thus go down in music history. In other words, “Sunflower” has gone 20 times platinum.
