State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen stated in a parliamentary debate on Thursday evening that there is not enough money in the Mobility Fund for improving the railway at Meppel, the bottleneck in the Northern Netherlands railway. She also advised against amendments from coalition parties for the Lower Saxony Line and the Van Harinxma Canal. Minister Mark Harbers also advised against an amendment for 6.5 million for better roads around Eelde airport.
