Portuguese circle player Valter Soares leaves Hurry-Up in Zwartemeer and goes to play for Vikings in Caen, France

The Portuguese Valter Soares leaves handball team Drenth Groep Hurry-Up in Zwartemeer after one season.

The 25-year-old circle player, who was also important in coverage for the Drenthe BeNe-League team, has signed a contract with Vikings in Caen. That team finished sixth at the highest level in France.

With Sjoerd Boonstra and Wouter Pronk, the Zwartemeerders now have two circle players left. Soares previously played for Benfica, Boa Hora and Madeira in his home country and Puerto Sagunto in Spain.
