The popularity of concerts that interpret background music from the Moomin Valley Stories last spring surprised the organizers.

Popular Moomin music concerts will continue.
The orchestra of over 20 people will tour Finland for five concerts in the spring of 2026. Last spring’s concerts at the Helsinki Music House sold out in minutes and the sales were surprised by the organizers.
– The email box was fulfilled for more concerts and perform elsewhere in Finland, says the artistic director of the concerts Heikki Ranta in the bulletin.
Japanese Sumio Shirator The compositions are rooted in the minds of Finns in the 1990s Moomin Valley stories with the series. The concerts will hear Shirator’s music for about two hours with new, respectful arrangements.

The original sound actors of the animation series also step on the concert stage. At the concerts of Tampere and Lahti, the host is the host of Snuskamuikkus Timo Torikka. The concerts of Turku, Jyväskylä and Lappeenranta are hosted Eero Ahrewho played in the series, among other things, the role of Nipsu.
The conductor of the concerts is the Sibelius Academy studying music management at the Sibelius Academy Sini Korhonen.
