Policeman and motorists rescue stranded elk

In the Omsk region, an elk ended up in a roadside ditch and got entangled in wires with its horns. A traffic police officer arrived to rescue the unfortunate animal. This is reported GTRK “Irtysh” with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the agency, the animal was found on the Tyumen-Omsk highway this morning, January 16.

Eyewitnesses reported that the moose tried to get out on its own, but was already exhausted. The policeman who arrived at the scene decided to pull out the elk on his own and attracted motorists.

The elk resisted and moved a lot. First, the animal was immobilized with the help of ropes that were found from the participants in the rescue operation. Then they unraveled the wires.

The animal was free and ran into the forest.
