The police have shared a recognizable photo of the suspect who allegedly used the bank card of a scammed woman from Den Bosch to withdraw money. The 91-year-old woman fell victim to fake police officers on April 17. A ring belonging to her deceased partner, a watch and her bank card were lost.
The woman received a call around half past six that evening from someone posing as a police officer. He told her that an attempt had been made to break into one of the homes in her apartment complex. Half an hour later a young man showed up at her door, he also pretended to be a police officer.
The fake agent on the phone told the woman to put all her jewelry on the table. The so-called agent at the door would take pictures of it for the insurance company. Then he took the things with him.
What was stolen?
This includes a gold wedding ring from her deceased mother, a white gold ring with a diamond from her deceased partner, a watch from the DD brand and her bank card.
Later that evening, the bank card was used to make two debit card payments at the Geldmaat on Pettelaarseweg in Den Bosch. 450 euros and 50 euros were withdrawn. According to police, it happened around 8 p.m.
The suspect who used the pin there has now been identified in a recognizable manner. According to the police, he is probably a minor. That’s why he was previously shown unrecognizable for a week, so he had the chance to report himself. He didn’t do that.
According to the police, the description of the boy who was at the woman’s home matches that of the suspect who withdrew money. The police are asking anyone who recognizes him to come forward.
