Around 9.30 pm a confrontation arises between two groups of young people. After the situation seems to have calmed down, both groups separate. Later that evening, one of the men from one group only leaves a pub.

The 19-year-old man walks via the Magdalenenstraat in the direction of Waagplein. At the height of the street windows where he encounters the group again, he is mistreated by the group.
“We take into account that this earlier confrontation was the reason for this gross abuse,” said Felicity Bijnaar, spokesperson for the Noord-Holland police.
Mistreatment filmed and shared
The abuse was filmed and those images are spread. It shows how the victim is kicked against his head and body several times.
The police have designated two men as main suspects. They have had a week to report to the police, but did not do that after the previous broadcast of Bureau NH. That is why their images have been shown completely recognizable this time.

Both suspects have dark hair, shaved on the sides. They wear dark shoes and a dark jacket. One of them has a rectangular, dark leather shoulder bag with red accents in the shoulder strap.
