The A2 was closed for some time in both directions at Zaltbommel on Thursday night after a police pursuit that had started on the A59 near Oss.
The chase started around a quarter past one at night. At Zaltbommel, the car where the agents sat down came to a halt, probably because there was no more fuel in the car.
Highway
The two passengers then tried to run away running. One of them tried to cross the highway. After unloading warning shots, the two could be arrested.
A recovery company has taken the car in which the two reason.

Why the men fled has not yet been announced. The police are investigating. Several fast intervention vehicles of the national unity were involved in the chase and arrest.
