Police judge who, in protest, sends home the defendants without punishment: “Those Youtubers really think that judges make decisions without thinking?”

The Ghent police judge Miguel Ureel (59) surprised his entire courtyard this morning. He immediately postponed all matters – except those with injured or heavy alcohol abuse – for one year. The defendants walked confused, but at the same time relieved outside. After the – short – session, HLN spoke more extensively with the police judge about why he made that statement: “Prepared? Do you know that I came up with this on the train this morning?”
