“For us the scenario is: this lady has been kidnapped and we have to find her as quickly as possible,” police spokesman Roderick de Veen said this morning on NH Radio. “We are seriously concerned about her condition. We seriously consider that her life is in danger.”

‘A big puzzle’

About 24 hours earlier, the woman left the Mosselplaat in Hoofddorp for work in Beverwijk around 8:30 am, but she never arrived. Since then, there has been no trace of her and her black BMW 530e with license plate G-241-ZP. It is still unclear exactly where and when the kidnapping took place.

“Since then it has been a big puzzle,” says De Veen. Several investigative teams and the Large-Scale Investigation Team (TGO) are working on the case. Yesterday, in addition to the search on the Mosselplaat, the police also searched a house on the Oosterschelde. The front door was forced open with a battering ram. The police do not want to say what exactly was found there.

The police are calling on anyone who has seen something, or has relevant camera images available, to come forward.
