Police diligently looking for sender of threatening email(s) Zaanse school: “No acute threat”

The police still have no idea who threatened the Zaan secondary school Pascal Zuid. Several screenshots of threatening emails are circulating on social media. After the first threatening e-mail last night, containing a photo of a firearm, the school decided to close its doors today. In a suspected second threatening email, which is also circulating on social media, the threatener writes that he will wait ‘until I succeed’.

However, according to the police, there is no acute danger at this time. However, an investigation is underway into the person who sent the email(s). The police are not commenting on the specific content of the threat. They do not want to deny or confirm whether there is a second threatening email.

In that presumed second email, which is in the hands of NH Media, the school is again intimidated. In addition, the threatener demands $100,000 in crypto coins.

School reopens tomorrow

The school canceled all classes today because of the first threatening email. For the time being, the school management is following the advice of the police and says it will open again tomorrow, according to the spokesperson for the school.

The police say in a press release that they want to get in touch with anyone who knows more about the screenshots that are now circulating on social media.
