The police seized a large amount of illegal fireworks in Nieuw-Buinen yesterday.
Officers witnessed a ‘handover’, police said. 80 nitrates and five shell mortars were seized.
The police then searched a home. In the house, officers found another 418 nitrates, 19 shell mortars, a firing tube, 45 black thunders and two Cipollas. Those are all illegal fireworks.
All fireworks have been confiscated.
