The collision took place at 9:00 am, near the roundabout on Sumatralaan. The police car was urgently on its way to a report and used flashing lights and sirens.
A police spokesperson says it is not yet clear how the police car could have collided with the cyclist. He was injured in the accident, but was responsive. An ambulance took the cyclist to the hospital.
