Nice weather is coming in the coming days, which in combination with Sahara dust will ensure beautiful sunsets. Yet no one has to fear dirty cars or other problems due to the dust, which is on its way to our province in a large plume.
Johnny Willemsen from Weerplaza explains this. “The Sahara dust will actually only come into view on Thursday afternoon and evening. We will not notice much of it during the day, except that the sunset will be extra beautiful because of the dust in the country.”
No dirty cars
The thickest layer in the sky is expected on Friday. “Then the sun will be less bright due to the dust. The air will then become a bit cloudy. This may also mean that the temperature on Friday is lower than we currently expect.”
The temperature is therefore difficult to determine with certainty: weather models jump a lot because they have difficulty predicting the influence of the Sahara dust. The temperature may then drop by a few degrees.
By the way, you don’t have to be afraid of dirty cars due to the settled dust. “The dust normally comes down with light rain. It is not going to rain in the coming days, so the dust simply remains in the air,” Willemsen explains.
Beautiful days
In any case, the weather will not be any worse in the coming days and follows the pattern of the past few days: a predominantly blue sky with lots of sun and remarkably high temperatures for early March.
It will be about sixteen degrees on Wednesday, but the temperature will rise from Thursday. “It will be difficult to reach twenty degrees, but eighteen or nineteen should certainly be possible until the weekend,” says the meteorologist.
“The weather is also very calm, with only a weak wind from the east and southeast. It will also remain dry for days, so that will again make for a few very nice days,” Willemsen concludes.
