British footwear brand Clarks has announced a collaboration with Pokémon, bringing to life the popular characters and icons of the trading card and video game, including Pikachu, Squirtle, Mewtwo and the famous Poké Ball.
The ten-piece collection for Fall/Winter 2022 with a playful Pokémon touch includes both Clarks Kids and Clarks Originals. The models and sneakers for school are equipped with Clarks Comfort Soft cushioning and shock-absorbing soles and are easy to put on and take off.
Highlights of the Clarks Kids collection include the Grip Pokémon sneakers with Playprint soles that emboss a Pokéball motif into the ground with every step, and the colorful Grip Pearl trainers featuring the Pokémon stars Pikachu, Squirtle and Mewtwo.
Crafted from black suede, the Wallabee Mist for kids from Clarks Originals features a subtle Pikachu motif on the heel and a detachable Pokémon-themed charm. The collaboration also includes the classic adult Wallabee Boot, embossed with a Pikachu motif and featuring an embroidered Poké Ball and colourful, contrasting charms, available in black or yellow.
Mathieu Galante, Licensing Director, EMEA at The Pokémon Company International said in a statement: “Pokémon is known for its collaborations with leading fashion brands, with which it creates unique and surprising collections. We are delighted to be collaborating with Clarks (…) on this exciting new collection. We hope kids across the country will return to school in their Pokémon Clarks shoes.”
